Hello supernatural lovers and welcome to Cryptid Corner. Where we cover a different supernatural being each week. This week we will delve into the Shirime which is a Yokai from Japan.

Yokai cover a vast array of supernatural beings from ghosts to shapeshifters That vary in behaviors they can be kind and helpful, insidious or mischievous.

The Shirime from far away looks like a human but up close it has no facial features with the exception of a large eye located in it's butthole. Shirime tend to hang out late at night and appear in city streets. They like to get the attention of unsuspecting travelers and as the traveler approaches the Shirime will quickly disrobe bend over and show off is eye in all of its unabashed glory. Naturally this startles the victim which is exactly what this Yokai is looking to do. Other than scare people for the pure enjoyment the Shirime is not considered dangerous or harmful.
