Round 12-23: 1 sc, repeat around (16)
Here you will stuff and fasten off the first leg, leaving a bit of a tail, when you attach the two legs together it will leave a small hole which you will use this tail to close up. Make your second leg, and do NOT fasten this one off, instead proceed to the next set of instructions to attach, and then continue on to the body.
Round 24: 4 sc (these 4 do not count in final st count as you will crochet over them when you get to the end of the row, if you use a st marker, place it in the first st on the second leg), ch 3, holding the legs together so the toes point slightly outwards and even to each other, sc into the first available sc where the legs touch, sc into the next 15 st, 1 sc into the back bump of each of the ch 3, 16 sc around the first leg, 3 sc into the other side of the ch 3 (38)

This next row is where you will attach the arms if you choose to crochet them on, if you choose to sew them on, then do the alternate row 52
Round 52: Attaching the arms: 8 sc (this is how many it takes for me to get to the side where the arm placement looks natural, you may need to increase or decrease this amount, eyeball it, as long as you finish the row off with the right stitch count you're good to go!) hold the arm to the body and sc through both arm and body x4, sc 7 across the front, then repeat for the second arm (4 sc), sc 1 (24)
Alternate Round 52: If you choose to sew the arms on, just do an additional row of 24 sc around (24)
Round 53: 4 sc, 1 sc dec, repeat around (20)

Round 55-56: 1 sc, repeat around (18)
Make sure to stuff the body firmly as you go
Head
If you're using safety eyes, place them between rows 65/66 about 12-14 st between
Round 57: 1 sc incr, repeat around (36)
Round 58: 1 sc, 1 sc incr, repeat around (54)

Row 15-18: 1 sc, repeat around (36)
Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew on to the wing stem, bend the stem to sew on the membrane

*** On these wings I used floral wire because these wings are much bigger and won't stay up without, you can also try stuffing the stems with polyfill which should make them sturdier, jut make sure to stuff them as you go to make it easier.
