Materials:
#4 medium weight yarn, approx 1 yard
Polyfibre fill
E 3.5mm hook
Needle for sewing in ends and attaching pieces
Stitch Guide:
sl: slip stitch
ch: chain
sk: skip
st: stitch
bb: back bump
yo: yarn over
mc: main colour
ac: accent colour
blo: back loop only
flo: front loop only
sc: single crochet
sc incr: single crochet increase
sc dec: single crochet decrease
Special Instructions: I suggest using the invisible dec wherever a dec is called for
Gauge is not important with this item, changing the hook or yarn size will simply change the size of the finished piece, just make sure you use the appropriate size hook for your yarn

Ears:
In black
Start with a magic circle, or ch 3 with a sl to join, however you feel comfortable starting on the round
Stuff firmly as you go
Round 1: 6 sc in the circle (6)
Round 2: 2 sc, 1 sc incr, repeat around (8)
Round 3: 3 sc, 1 sc incr, repeat around (10)
Change to yellow
Round 4: 4 sc, 1 sc incr, repeat around (12)
Round 5 – 10: 1 sc, repeat around, sl to join on last round (12)
Finish off with a long tail to attach to the head
Tail:
Made using two strands held together to give the tail stability:
In black
Starting with a long tail to sew to the body, ch 4
Row 1: starting in the 2nd ch from the hook: 3 sc, turn (3)
Row 2: ch 3, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook: 3 sc, turn (3)
Switch to two strands of yellow
Row 3: ch 1, 3 sc, turn (3)
Row 4: ch 5, starting in the 2nd ch from the hook: 5 sc, turn (5)
Row 5: ch 1, 5 sc (5)
Finish off and weave in all ends except the long one for attaching
Assembly:
Ears: position on the top of the head behind the eyes evenly at approx round 22 and attach
Tail: attach at round 2
