Materials:
#4 medium weight yarn, approx 5 yards
Polyfibre fill
E 3.5mm hook for worsted weight
Needle for sewing in ends and attaching pieces
Stitch Guide:
sl: slip stitch
ch: chain
sk: skip
st: stitch
bb: back bump
yo: yarn over
mc: main colour
ac: accent colour
blo: back loop only
flo: front loop only
sc: single crochet
sc incr: single crochet increase
sc dec: single crochet decrease
hdc: half double crochet
hdc incr: half double crochet increase
hdc dec: half double crochet decrease
dc: double crochet
dc incr: double crochet increase
dc dec: double crochet decrease
picot: picot stitch
Special Instructions: I suggest using the invisible dec wherever it says in the pattern to do a dec, it helps with the overall look of the item, and helps to reduce stuffing showing through on those rows/rounds
Gauge is not important with this item, changing the hook or yarn size will simply change the size of the finished piece, just make sure you use the appropriate size hook for your yarn
Picot: ch 3, 1 sc or sl into the first ch

Crown:
Start with a long tail to sew to the head
Ch 20, join with a sl to join
Round 1: ch 1, 1 sc in each ch around, sl to join (20)
Round 2: ch 1, (1 sc, 1 hdc incr, 1 dc incr, 1 hdc incr, 1 sc) x4, sl to join (32)
Round 3: ch 1, (1 sc dec, 1 sc, 2 dc, 1 sc, 1 sc dec) x4, sl to join (24)
Round 4: ch 1, (2 sl, 1 dc incr, picot, 1 dc incr, 2 sl) x4, sl to join (28)
Finish off and weave in ends
Assembly:
Attach to the top of Finnegan's head between his eyes where looks natural
